Short historical outline Gottlieb Duttenhöfer established his company in 1884 at a time when the chemical industry was flourishing and initiated a new industrial era. Quite soon, Duttenhöfer concentrated on the production of packaging solutions for the chemical industry. Patented developments, the extension of the product and service range have been the foundations of the company’s success and growth in the decades that followed. This success is documented by numerous awards.  Latest novelties In the last years, Duttenhöfer focussed its investments on process optimization. Our production processes were structured to suit the customers’ requirements and complement them with synergetic effects – both in terms of organization and operation. 2005: • Opening of the production plant in Cologne • Expansion of the product portfolio with drums suitable for container transport with a diameter of 560 mm 2007: • Opening of the sales office in Brühl near Cologne through acquisition of Wedthoff trading company 2008: • Installation of the new foaming system for fully automatic application of the sealant to open-top drums 2009: • Opening of an additional production line |
